We recommend 45-60 minutes to visit the Attraction. Please allow some time at the end of your visit to relax in our Cafe or explore our Shops.
We have two shops, both at the Attraction and are proud to stock the largest collection of Beatrix Potter merchandise in the world. You’ll find our biggest shop on Crag Brow, just up the ramp from the Attraction, and our Attraction shop within the main building.
We have a family friendly Cafe on site which serves a range of food and drink and is the perfect place to relax after a visit to the Attraction.
The Attraction is situated on a hill and has steep ramp access from Crag Brow or Rayrigg Road. Once inside the Attraction, all areas of the building (aside from a small section of the garden) are fully accessible to visitors. A lift gives access to the toilets and the Café. Find out more here.
The nearest Car Park to the Attraction is a public pay and display car park on Rayrigg Road. From here simply cross the road, take the second entrance to the building – a passageway to the left after the steps up to the Attraction and enter the Attraction via our main courtyard entrance. There is also a pay and display car park on Lake Road next as well as a very large car park Braithwaite Fold on the Glebe (a 10-15 minute walk from the Attraction). Street parking is also available, but spaces are limited and restricted to 1 hour. (We recommend you allow yourself 2 hours for your visit to include time to see the Attraction, browse in the shop and enjoy the Peter Rabbit cafe). Find out more about getting here and parking.
Yes, you are more than welcome to take photographs and we would love to see your memories of your visit, so feel free to share them with us on our social media channels. For media partners, filming needs to be pre-agreed. Please contact us for more information.
The Attraction only allows service dogs.
